What you can do:

Action for Children protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support, ensuring their voices are heard, and campaigning to bring lasting improvements to their lives. 

Anna Freud Foundation

The Anna Freud Centre is a child mental health research, training and treatment Centre located in London. The Centre aims to transform current mental health provision in the UK by improving the quality, accessibility and effectiveness of treatment, bringing together leaders in neuroscience, mental health, social care and education. 


Barnardo’s provide a range of services to help and support families across the UK, working with organisations and professionals so that children get the best start in life.


Childline will help anyone under 19 in the UK with any issue they’re going through.  You can talk about anything. Whether it’s something big or small, their trained counsellors are here to support you.  Calling Childline is free and doesn’t show up on the phone bill.

Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

CAMHS are a National Health Service that support young people with their mental health & emotional well-being. Children and young people may need help with a wide range of issues at different points in their lives. 

The Children's Society

A charity organisation that fights child poverty and neglect and aims to help all children to have a better chance in life.

Mental Health Foundation

A charity since1949, the Mental Health Foundation is a charity that fights for everyone’s mental health. With prevention at their heart, they aim to find and address the sources of mental health problems so that people and communities can thrive.  They provide a series of publications and materials on children, young people and families which can be accessed here.  


MindEd is a free educational resource for children’s and young people’s mental health for all adults. MindEd is suitable for all adults working with, or caring for, infants, children or teenagers; all the information provided is quality assured by experts, useful, and easy to understand. 

National Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC)

The NSPCC is a charity campaigning and working in child protection in the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands.

They provide guidance on:

  • depression, anxiety and mental health 
  • self-harm
  • bullying and cyberbullying


Parent Zone are the experts in digital family life. We provide support and information to parents, children and schools, working globally to help families to navigate the internet safely and confidently. We work with parents, schools, governments and businesses to study, understand and address the impact of emerging technologies on young people.


Place2Be provides mental health counselling support and training to schools to improve the emotional wellbeing of pupils, families, teachers and staff. They also provide expert training and qualifications in child mental health.
